Mr Snowdon has worked in ICT regulation since 2000, in both the public and private sectors. He is an adviser to industrial clients and to national regulatory authorities. His specialism is the regulation of satellite services, including both the ground segment and space segment, and particularly those satellite services which have sector-specific technical, operational and regulatory requirements. Internationally, he has participated in the work of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Radiocommunication Sector and Telecommunication Standardization Sector, and industry-specific bodies including the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). He has also participated in standardization work at the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and contributed to the work of other standardization bodies including the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) and Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services (RTCM).
