speaker.txt Klaus Huber LS telcom AG, Lichtenau, Germany (note: telcom, not telekom) After receiving his German diploma in physics he joined German public radio and TV broadcaster SWF in Baden-Baden in 1989. SWF (now, after a fusion, SWR), member of the German "ARD", had about 2000 employees at that time. Mr. Huber worked in the department for frequency and coverage planning there for about 6 years. After that he joined a small company for satellite aided surveying, which performs surveying with GPS; he became the project manager for a large system integration task there. In April 1998 he went back to broadcasting tasks and joined L&S Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH (which is now, since two months, LS telcom AG), where he works in the department for "broadcast" services planning and coordination, where he specializes in digital services. LS telcom is located in the southwest of Germany and has more than 100 employees, with 4 foreign offices, the largest being in Shanghai and Sofia. Besides the planning and coordination software for broadcasting LS telcom also offers software and consulting for other services, such as microwave links, mobile, monitoring, land mobile and software for spectrum management. The program of the broadcast department is in use at more than 20 customers, both regulating authorities and terrestrial network providers world wide (in ITU region 1 and 3). Page 1
