Klaus Huber
LS telcom AG, Lichtenau, Germany
(note: telcom, not telekom)
After receiving his German diploma in physics
he joined German public radio and TV broadcaster
SWF in Baden-Baden in 1989. SWF (now, after
a fusion, SWR), member of the German "ARD",
had about 2000 employees at that time.
Mr. Huber worked in the department for frequency
and coverage planning there for about 6 years.
After that he joined a small company for
satellite aided surveying, which performs
surveying with GPS; he became the project manager
for a large system integration task there.
In April 1998 he went back to broadcasting tasks
and joined L&S Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH (which
is now, since two months, LS telcom AG), where
he works in the department for "broadcast"
services planning and coordination, where he
specializes in digital services.
LS telcom is located in the southwest of Germany
and has more than 100 employees, with 4 foreign
offices, the largest being in Shanghai and
Sofia.
Besides the planning and coordination software
for broadcasting LS telcom also offers software
and consulting for other services, such as
microwave links, mobile, monitoring, land mobile
and software for spectrum management.
The program of the broadcast department is in
use at more than 20 customers, both regulating
authorities and terrestrial network providers
world wide (in ITU region 1 and 3).
