Book: A First Course in Probability by Sheldon Ross, Eighth Edition
This will be an introductory course in probability theory, beginning with finite probability problems
but moving to continuous situations. The course requirements will consist of weekly problem sets
(due on Tuesdays), a midterm exam (handed out February 7, due on February 14), and a final.
Both exams will be take home. The weighting of the grades will be 30% for the problem sets, 30%
for the midterm, and 40% for the final. A list of the homework assignments is provided.
