Job Description

The Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Geometry and/or Topology.

Responsibilities :

1.

Active participation in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses assigned by the Department Chair.

2.

The development and maintenance of a vigorous and well-recognized research program in Geometry and/or Topology and a continuing commitment to scholarly and professional activities.

3.

Participation in Department and University administrative functions.

4.

Adherence to the responsibilities of the general faculty as delineated by the

University Faculty/Staff Manual.

Qualifications:

1.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree at the time of application, in mathematics or a closely related area.

2.

Candidates must have a strong professional background preparatory for teaching and research in Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.

Postdoctoral experience.

Salary and Starting Date :

The starting date for the position is August 15, 2015. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
