About the Program
UCDHS has partnered with the Coro Center for Civic Leadership to build leadership excellence
within our organization through their proprietary curriculum and teaching methodology. This
program is designed to build collaborative and innovative results-oriented leadership skills. The
Coro program incorporates a variety of activities including assessments, classroom instruction,
panel presentations, individual development planning, group projects and reflective writing.
The UC Davis Health System Coro Leadership Academy requires an investment from the
employee, the department and the university. Participation at each of the eight sessions is
mandatory, requiring the full support of the department/division. There are no make-up
sessions. Sessions are held every other Tuesday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, except as noted:

Session 5: March 22
Session 6: April 5
Session 7: April 19
Session 8: May 3 (Class 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, Graduation 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
Participant Eligibility
Health System employees who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for CORO:
 Minimum 2 years employment performing at or exceeds Meets Expectations, Career status
 Supervisor or Manager at the PSS Grade IV - MSP II level
 Strong supervisory skills and leadership potential
 Strong personal initiative and motivation
 Desire to make active and continued contributions to the UC Davis Health System
 Evidence of leadership experience or potential through meaningful involvement in our
workplace
 Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, innovative thinking and creativity
 Works well with a diverse group of individuals
