RESOLUTION TO ACT UPON DETENURIZATION CHARGE
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has been presented with written detenurization charges by
President Altenkirch concerning Dr. David Hawk; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has final authority to determine cases and controversies
concerning tenure under Title 18A following assignment of the matter for hearing and initial
decision under rules and regulations pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby authorizes the matter to
proceed to the initial hearing phase for an initial decision, after which time the Board shall
render a final decision. The determination of the appropriate forum for the initial hearing
phase shall be made by the Executive Committee of the Board.
