Marching towards Exascale

As we enter 2015 we are a distressingly short time away from the date that many predicted would be
the dawn of the exascale era. And yet, our HPC systems remain stubbornly similar to the way they
have looked for a decade or more. This talk will attempt to divine the future more effectively than a
Sri Lankan astrologer predicting his President's election fortunes, looking at disruptive technology
developments and what this may mean for our applications. How will HPC modelling & science be
possible in an Exascale system?
