Edward C. Palacios, RN, MPH CSUF 1989 Name: Edward C. Palacios, RN, MPH Husband: Jay Center, Ed.D I was an air force brat, born on George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA, but I was made in Japan. My father returned to his home town of Fresno, after leaving the service. I attended Clovis schools, graduating from Clovis High School. I am the first nurse in my family. I started my nursing career at Fresno Community Hospital in 1986 as a student extern. I finished my BSN at CSU, Fresno in 1989. I worked for Community Hospitals of Central California for 10 years, progressing from a telemetry nurse to charge nurse, nurse manager, director and eventually the Vice President level. I completed a Masters in Public Health, Health Administration in 2003. After Community, I went to Selma District Hospital as the Chief Nurse Executive and Chief Operations Officer, and eventually became the CEO of the hospital. For the last 9 years I have been at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital and Outpatient Centers. I am the Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
