My name is Loretta Young-Sutherland, I was born in Idaho. I was the first of three
children born to Jim and Louise Young. I was the first to go to college in my family, and
the first nurse in my family. I graduated from Fresno State in 1973. I married Mike
Sutherland, and we have 2 children, Amy age 21, and Kevin, age 18. Amy is senior at
Harvard and Kevin is a senior in high school.
I worked at Stanislaus County Health Department as a public health nurse from 19751995.
