(A music invention using instruments and voice) This interdisciplinary approach shows some possible learning opportunities which link to the experience and outcome codes shown. These are ideas for starting points, though, and could be amended with other links depending on your context. In this example we have highlighted a lead curriculum area, however, to suit needs and interests a different curriculum area could easily be used LEAD CURRICULUM AREA - LITERACY AND ENGLISH Consider the reliability of the sources of information about Nessie and the sightings. Create a timeline of events which explain Nessie. Study the geographic area where Nessie lives. Study the weather of the area. Study the water in the Loch e.g. is it fresh? What other animals live in the loch? Would there be enough food? Make a decision about whether you believe in Nessie or not and explore ways to attract people to the area.
