Dissertation: The last two essays in my dissertation are both intended to develop into journal submissions. The second essay uses a supply base level of analysis to examine the distribution of innovation across a buyer firm’s supply base and the associated impact on the buyer ‘s innovative performance. The final essay explores the potential for supplier firms to act as a conduit for knowledge to spillover between buyer firms with one or more suppliers in common. Both essays also consider a number of moderators that may impede or facilitate the flow of knowledge and innovations across interorganizational boundaries.
