Discuss how Maltese għana interrelates with the various aspects of Maltese culture and society. 2. Music is a key to identify formation because it is often a public presentation of the deepest feelings and qualities that make a group unique. Discuss and give examples of how this applies to music in Malta. 3. Discuss how musical and non-musical processes coalesce in the Maltese wind band tradition. 4. Give a historical outline of the development of art music in Malta. 5. Music is the basis of a huge industry and can be an avenue to money and fame. Discuss this with particular reference to Maltese modern popular music. 6. Maltese hymnology (both religious and civil) is in itself a document of the social aspirations and religious beliefs of the Maltese over the years. Discuss and give examples. 7.
