Professional Experience
1998 – 2014 (July): Head of the Strategic Planning Section, in the Planning Department,
Israeli Water & Sewage Authority (IWA).
Miki was responsible for development of a long-term National Master Plan for the water
sector for the years 2010-2050 which was approved by the IWA council in August 2012.
His responsibilities include management of strategic planning projects and assignments,
incorporation of sustainable development policies and strategies, development of
Decision Support Systems (DSS), scenario building, forecasting tools and methodology,
writing policy and planning documents on water management issues, commissioning
and overseeing the work of consultants and consulting companies.
Formal Education:
Master of Science degree (M.Sc) from the faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the
Department of Water Resources Management, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (2006).
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc ) degree in the faculty of Agricultural Engineering in the Department
of Water, Soil and Environment. Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (1998).

Hagihon- Jerusalem Water Utility
Oved began working at Hagihon Company Ltd. Israel’s largest and most advanced
regional water & wastewater utility back in 2005 and since that time has held a number of
key positions within the organization.
Oved’s current position is Deputy Manager of the Utility's Water Operations and
Maintenance Department where he is responsible for ensuring the working order of
Hagihon's 1350 km's water network.
Oved is considered one of Israel's leading experts on urban water emergency response,
and was the main force behind the establishment of Hagihon's award winning water /
sewage / cyber emergency contingency plan.
As a member of the Hagihon's senior management team, Oved's experience includes
understanding the intricacies of innovative water technologies as well as incorporating
the "city smarts" needed for working with road crews and Hagihon's diverse customer
population.
Formal Education
Oved holds a B.S.C from Ben-Gurion U, and an M.B.A. (JCT) and M.P.P., both from Hebrew U.
He is happily married and the proud father of four children.
