Once I discovered that Erasmus
Staff Mobility Training was available to all administrative staff at UCL, I didn’t hesitate to take up this opportunity to apply to the
Centre for the Advancement of
Teaching and Learning (CALT) for funding. Having identified a Staff
Mobility Training programme to suit my needs, I applied to the University of Cyprus , was accepted and attended their 2 nd Erasmus Staff Training Week from 11-15 June 2012.
Since I am also involved with the AUA SHARE@UCL project which is currently being piloted by colleagues in our Division, I believed this new training initiative would not only be of benefit to myself, it would be useful and beneficial to our project, my team and other staff within the Division and at UCL.
My objectives for attending the training were:
to gain knowledge and expertise
share best practice and cultural experiences with others and by working together at an institution in Europe
to develop and maintain links and networks with European universities
through the organisation of European Training/Study Day/Conferences etc.
