2015 Associated Students Election Petitions Now Available

Election Petitions are now available to all Fresno State students interested in representing the student body as an elected representative of their student government.

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is comprised of four executive officers: President, Executive

Vice President, and Vice-President of Finance and fifteen (15) senators. Senators are elected either as representatives of their academic college/school (8) or in an at-large position (7). Out of eight senators elected, one will advance to become Executive Vice President.

All positions are currently open. All student representatives must be enrolled and in good standing at the university, maintain a 2.0 grade point average each semester.

Petitions can be picked up in the ASI Business Office, USU 317 or online at asi.fresnostate.edu/ under the “Get Involved” tab.

Petitions must be completed by Friday, February 13 by 5 p.m.

Candidates are required to read and obtain the Election Code also available on the ASI website.

Mandatory orientation for candidates is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Candidates are encouraged to begin campaigning beginning on Wednesday, February 18.

Voting begins on Tuesday, March 24 at 9 a.m. and end on Thursday, March 26 at noon.
