Kansas State University Panhellenic Council Resolution in Support of Alcohol-Free Social Events in Men's Fraternities. RESOLUTION Kansas State University Panhellenic Council's collegiate chapters will co-sponsor social levents in men's fraternities such as houses, residence halls, or lodges if and onlyif those facilities have been declared alcohol free establishments. INTERPRETATION Homecoming Float Construction, held within a reasonable time prior to Homecoming activities, must be alcohol-free and will be the onlyexception to the resolution. Float construction can take place at a facilitythat is not alcohol-free, but it must still be registered with Greek Affairs 48 hours prior to the event and will be monitored bythe Social ResponsibilityCommittee for compliance with the Substance Abuse Policy. SANCTIONS Violations of this resolution and exception will result in monetary sanctions of $150 for the first violation, $300 for the second violation, $500 for the third violation, and judicial hearing for any further violations. If a social event is not registered and takes place at a fraternitythat is not alcohol-free, chapters will onlybe sanctioned for violating Section 3A of the Substance Abuse Policy.
