In March 2011, HM Inspectors published a report on your child’s school. Since then,
inspectors returned to the school to look at how it had continued to improve its work.
Following these visits, further letters were published in May 2012 and June 2013. In
May 2014, Orkney Islands Council provided us with a progress report which outlined
the improvements the school continues to make.
After reviewing the evidence and in discussion with Orkney Islands Council, we are
now confident the school has the capacity to continue to improve. We will make no
further visits to the school in connection with the inspection report of March 2011. As
part of ongoing liaison between Education Scotland and Orkney Islands Council, our
Area Lead Officer will continue to monitor the school’s progress.
