All-University Leadership Awards Call for Nominations :: 2013-2014 The All-University Leadership Awards aim to recognize the success of Fresno State students and organizations. Acknowledge and celebrate their efforts by taking time to nominate individual students and registered student club/organizations for one or more of the awards listed below. Awards are presented at the annual Leadership Recognition Celebration on Thursday, May 8th at 3:00pm in the Residence Dining Hall. OUTSTANDING STUDENT LEADER Recognizes a graduating full-time undergraduate student with a demonstrated breadth of involvement across campus. Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Impact of nominee’s involvement should be broad and supported by additional letters • Contributions have significantly improved the all-student experience and will be sustained beyond nominated student’s graduation • Demonstrated outstanding scholarship and service to the campus community EMERGING LEADER Recognizes a continuing full-time undergraduate student who has demonstrated potential. Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Involvement in the campus community • Evidence of continued involvement in the coming academic year CO-CURRICULAR STUDENT LEADER Recognizes a full-time undergraduate student who has made significant and outstanding contributions through depth of involvement in an area of campus life. Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Significant depth of involvement in organizations and activities outside of the classroom • Involvement has positively impacted the campus community in meaningful ways OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT LEADER Recognizes a graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership both inside and outside the classroom. Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Demonstrates leadership in the classroom by positively influencing peers • Contributed to his/her field of study through research, articles, conferences, etc. • Involvement and impact in campus life OUTSTANDING CLUB/ORGANIZATION ADVISOR Recognizes a faculty, staff, or alumni advisor who has provided significant assistance towards advancing the goals and mission of the registered student club/organization Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Demonstrated strong commitment to a registered student organization which has resulted in student growth and development. • Actively assists in the navigation and interpretation of university policies and procedures, and if applicable, regional/national policies and procedures CLUB/ORGANIZATION OF TH E YEAR Recognizes a registered student club/organization that has impacted the campus in a meaningful way Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Club/Organization and members are visible and participate in campus activities • Demonstrated ability to provide quality programs, services, and experiences to members and the campus community • Collaborates with other registered student club/organizations and involves the CLUB/ORGANIZATION OUTSTANDING PROGRAM Recognizes a registered student club/organization that is responsible for the development and implementation of an outstanding, innovative program Nomination letters should include evidence of the following: • Demonstrated program contribution to the quality of campus life • Program must be open to the campus and/or Fresno community.
