Spring 2014 Admissions Announcement
California State University, Fresno will begin accepting applications for admission for the spring
2014 semester on August 1, 2013. The application deadline is August 31, 2013.
We will be accepting applications from fully academically eligible new students for spring 2014.
The number of students we are able to admit will be dependent on availability of state resources.
Consequently, applicants will be notified on or before November 1, 2013 regarding their
admission status.
Applications will only be accepted from students in the following categories:

New Upper Division Transfers: Applicants who have completed all transfer admission
requirements by the end of fall 2013. Application deadline is August 31, 2013. The
deadline to turn in required documents after application submission is September 13, 2013.
There will be no extensions to these deadlines.
•
New Graduate and Postbaccalaureate: Open to applicants in selected graduate and
credential programs. Application deadline is August 31, 2013. The deadline to turn in
required documents after application submission is September 20, 2013. There will be no
extensions to these deadlines.
The university is closed to applications from: first-time freshmen, lower division transfers,
returning students, second baccalaureate, and postbaccalaureate unclassified students.
Transfer Admission Impaction:
The university is impacted at the transfer level and will implement supplementary screening
criteria for admission. Based on space availability, upper division transfer applicants from the
local area will be accommodated first. Local area community colleges are: College of the
Sequoias, Fresno City College, Merced Community College, Modesto Junior College, Reedley
College, West Hills Community College, and West Hills College-Lemoore.
Transfer applicants from other colleges or universities will be considered on a space available
basis. Information regarding transfer admission and impaction can be found at

Students may apply online starting August 1st at www.csumentor.edu.
The CSU Mentor site has additional information regarding CSU admission. Applicants are
encouraged to review document deadlines; applications that remain incomplete cannot be
processed. Additionally, students can also access information regarding spring admission and
