We just couldn’t do it without them. Thank you for your thoughtful assistance in serving our OLLI members! W hat a great year we have had! Thanks to your recruitment of new members, we exceeded 500 members in 2008-09. And, we recently received notification that we are the recipient of a $1 million endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation. Yes, the good news is that we received the endowment. However, this means that we will no longer receive the $100,000 annual grant funds from the Osher Foundation. Our operating budget will now be contingent upon the interest accrued on the endowment plus our membership and activity fees. Those of us who were involved since the beginning and who took a chance on a new idea, knew that it would work. With your continued involvement, the Fresno OLLI will continue to grow and prosper.
