Want to join the entrepreneurship Revolution?
1776 is a platform to reinvent the world by connecting the hottest startups with the resources they
need to excel. From our Campus a few blocks from the White House, 1776 serves as a global hub for
startups tackling major challenges in education, energy, health care, government, and other critical
industries. 1776 startups receive mentorship, corporate connections, access to capital, media
attention, and a pipeline of top talent—the raw materials critical for innovators to succeed. We’re
excited to announce that through the School of Communication, Kogod School of Business, and the
Social Enterprise Program at the School of International Service, American University has partnered
with 1776 as a University Partner! Through this partnership, AU students will have access to a variety
of resources, including access to University Programming such as group workshops, seminars and
member-only events. Check out the full list of resources below!
Community Events
At 1776, we hold community events focused on entrepreneurship each week that cover a wide
spectrum of topics and formats. One night, we might be hosting a fireside chat with a successful
entrepreneur and another we could be throwing a startup launch party! All 1776 events relate to our
greater goals of promoting the startup community and enabling entrepreneurs to innovate in
regulated industries. Community events are open to the general public, and American University
students are encouraged to attend. Our full list can be found at http://1776dc.com/events.
(Access open to general public)
