ADVISING NOTES
1. For assistance with the minor please come by the Department of Agricultural Business in the Peters Business
Building, Room 302 or call 559-278-2949.
2. Please note that coursework used to meet major requirements cannot be applied toward a minor unless designated as
additional requirements to the major. [Courses already completed for the major that are also required of the minor
field may be “waived” as requirements for the minor—thereby reducing the official units for the minor to a minimum
of 12.]
3. Courses used to meet GE requirements can be used in the minor (i.e., they may be double counted).
4. Course prerequisites will be enforced.
5. Students are required to have basic computer competencies (AGBS 76 or equivalent) and fundamental quantitative
reasoning skills (AGBS 78 or DS 71 or MATH 70, 75, or 75A) required before enrolling in the required upperdivision courses.
6. All courses in the minor must be taken for a letter grade; CR/NC grading is not acceptable.
7. Approval of the minor is contingent upon meeting all course requirements with a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
8. A minimum of 6 Upper Division units must be taken in residence for the minor.
