MOBILIZATION
Item 748. Mobilization shall be included in all projects advertised after July 1, 2002.
Accordingly, the Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges (1988 and 1995) are amended as
shown below. These modifications will appear in all proposal booklets for projects advertised after July
1, 2002.
Division I – Section 2.00 is revised as follows:

Preparation of Proposals.
A. Bid Prices
Add this paragraph beneath the second paragraph:
When an item in the Proposal contains requirements for minimum or maximum unit bid price limits, failure to conform
to these requirements may result in rejection of the bid.
Division II – Section 748 is revised as follows:
748.20
General.
Add a second paragraph as follows:

The unit bid price for Mobilization (Item 748.) shall not exceed 3% of the contract bid total, exclusive of this item.
Failure to observe this requirement may result in rejection of the bid in accordance with Subsection 2.04.
