This question was well answered by a small number of students. The rest gave average answers scoring a low mark. Some students were not familiar with the terms range check, check digits etc. Question A2 This question was not so popular. Few students attempting this question answered it correctly. Question A3 This question was more popular than question 2. The level of answers were slightly better than average. 2 IM EXAMINERS’ REPORT MAY 2007 Question A4 This seems to be the most popular question. The answers give were quite good. Question A5 This question was again quite popular and well answered in general. Question A6 This question was again quite popular and well answered in general. Question B1 Contrary to the previous section the marks awarded for the business organization questions were quite high. Students did quite well in this question. They seem to be more conversant with the business and organizational concepts rather than the information technology issues. Question B2 This question was selected by about half of the candidates and correct answers were given. Question B3 This question was selected by about half of the candidates and correct answers were given. Coursework The coursework marks awarded were quite high with 19 out of 25 being the average mark. The exercises are simple spreadsheet and database exercises and do not involve any programming.
