PURPOSE
To ensure that the integrity of facility groundwater monitoring wells is maintained.
PROCEDURE
It is the responsibility of the Environmental Management System Compliance Coordinator (ECC) to
ensure that a regular inspection of accessible facility groundwater monitoring wells occurs. In the event
that a monitoring well is found to be damaged, or the monitoring well is no longer needed, the ECC shall
notify the EMS & Sustainability Unit Supervisor, or designee, in writing. Notification shall indicate the
Facility Name, Monitoring Well Identification and a brief description of the damage that has occurred. It
is the responsibility of the EMS & Sustainability Unit Supervisor, or designee, to promptly arrange for a
contractor to repair or closure of the monitoring well.
