Training Seminars for Paper Setters’ Panels
Training seminars on paper setting entitled ‘Framework for setting examination papers’ were
held at the MATSEC Office University of Malta. The seminars were held on the 17th
December 2012 and the 8th January 2013.

SEC Examinations
The MATSEC Board congratulates the following students for their excellent results:

Jana Vella of Mġarr from Saint Theresa College, Girls’ Junior Lyceum, Mrieħel who obtained
passes in the following 12 subjects at SEC Level with Grade 1 in the following 11 subjects:
Biology, English Language, English Literature, Environmental Studies, French, Geography,
Italian, Maltese, Mathematics, Physics and Religious Knowledge and Grade 2 in Social Studies.
•
Rebecca Shaw of Qormi from Saint Theresa College, Girls’ Junior Lyceum, Mrieħel who
obtained passes in 12 subjects at SEC Level with Grade 1 in the following 10 subjects: Biology,
English Language, English Literature, Environmental Studies, French, History, Maltese, Physics,
Religious Knowledge and Social Studies and Grade 2 in Chemistry and Mathematics.
•
Sarah Baldacchino of Fgura from Our Lady Immaculate, Ħamrun was awarded the Anna
Muscat Azzopardi Prize, worth €70.00. This prize is awarded annually to the candidate who
obtains the highest number of marks in the Maltese examination at SEC Level.
•
Kelly Anne Attard of Fgura from Saint Margaret College Girls’ Secondary, Żejtun, was awarded the
Dom Maurus Caruana Prize, worth €47.00. This prize is awarded annually to the candidate who obtains
the highest number of marks in the Religious Knowledge examination at SEC Level.
