Student Services Program Plan template, SLO/AUO assessment template,
and yearly update template forms
The committee reviewed the three templates.
Rachel had added several clarifying notations to the Program Review template, which
she will send electronically to Sandi to incorporate. Margery (via Barbara Rigg) also had
suggestions which will be incorporated. There was discussion regarding what items
would be mandatory versus optional. The final template will reflect that. The revised
Program Review template will be reviewed at the December SSC meeting.
The Yearly Update template was approved pending a few changes from Rachel and
Margery including adding a timeline to the “In progress” column, as well as new goals
and recommendations “since last program plan”. A “status” column will be added. There
was a question of where to put the new goals each year. The template will be used for
the first time with the spring 2013 updates, and will be reviewed afterward to see if any
adjustments should be made.
The SLO/AUO assessment template was approved, with the addition of “AUO” in the
header.
AP 5013 Students in the Military
This AP was approved by the SSC.
AP 5055 Enrollment Priorities
There was much discussion about this policy and how it will affect students. Timely
notification and information to students who may lose the BOG or priority registration is
crucial. An appeals process will have to be worked out. As more information becomes
available or changes, this policy will be updated. Dennis handed out a timeline which
helps to clarify what needs to be done when. The policy, along with the BP will be
discussed again at the December meeting, as will a Student Services Mission Statement.
Dennis will meet soon with student groups (Student Senate, AGS, and ICC) regarding
the new policy.
