EXTRA CREDIT Bio 11A Getting Outside! (Mostly) You may do up to three extra credit assignments that have to do with VISITING places, or volunteering or giving an oral presentation of biology in the news. Each assignment is worth up to 7 points. All extra credit assignments must be handed in by Monday May 9. No late submittals. 1) For this assignment you may visit any of the following places and write a two-page, typed, doublespaced report on a) what interested you most (in the context of Biology), b) why, and what you would recommend to a friend, c) what is it about that biological system that is worthy of visiting d) why should this habitat be preserved? If you write about a book, give me evidence that you did not google and read nothing but the summary. a) what interested you (personally) most? b) what was interesting, what was not interesting, c) Did the reader a make appoint of something that affects you or Santa Cruz County d) what does this book say about Biological Concerns that humanity will have in the next 2030 years? You may do all three extra credit assignments from this list if you wish. Most of the options cost some money from a few dollars to $40. However, if you do not have money to spend there are plenty of parks you can choose from, and they are free if you park outside. Note that when you visit any of these places, it is on your own time and is not an official Cabrillo College field trip.
