In the Spring 2012 semester, FTTW served a total of 258 WIA, CalWORKs, CTE/TPP and
Grove students.
• 245 (95%) had met with an Academic Counselor to develop an educational plan for their
chosen career path.

Plans for improvement:
• Verify contact information with students when they come in for appointments. Review
Datatel and VCC for updated information as needed.
• Change approach in outreach to students who don’t show up for their appointments to
a wellness approach. Identify if there are reasons for their absence that may be
remedied by on or off campus resources.
• Discuss students without current educational plans in weekly case management
meetings.
• Create a policy of follow up when students do not respond to requests to meet with a
counselor for an educational plan and/or when they do not show up for their scheduled
appointments.
• Document in case notes when follow up steps are taken.
• Offer educational plan appointments in non-traditional formats, such as phone

Committee Meeting. Make modifications based on partner input.

Annual Report will include information FTTW’s assessment results and on how far we got on
