Assistant Professor, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia: Old Dominion University’s Department of Political Science & Geography invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position in its Geography Program to begin in August 2016. The Program is seeking a geographer who specializes in Human-Environment Interactions and Geospatial Technologies. Preference will be given to those applicants whose research focuses on coastal locations and/or urban sustainability. A regional specialization beyond North America and Europe will be considered an advantage. Candidates should have potential for excellence in teaching and research. A Ph.D. in Geography or a closely related discipline is required at the time of appointment. Candidates must be prepared to teach introductory courses and develop upper-division undergraduate and graduate level courses in their areas of specialization.
