Topic and Discussion

Maps indicate AED in 600. Moved when Dental

Hygiene relocated. Need to replace device or remove from map.

Building 1000 is one of our busiest on campus. AED has been requested for that building.

Other areas of concern?

Campus Hours of Operation

1.

Campus closes at 10pm

How can we increase security in areas open after dark – parking lots, cafeteria, library, pathways?

2.

How do we communicate to students which areas are open in the evening so they aren’t waiting for transportation in an unsafe environment?

Building Access

Keys and other access to buildings during off hours

(evenings, weekends, and holidays) have been accommodated in our informal process:

Is there a process that should be considered for students who wish to access the college during off hours?

Campus Landscape

Areas around the Aptos Campus, especially along the

Soquel Drive side of lower campus, have shrubbery and other brush that could hide attackers.

How can we increase safety in these areas?

Where will maintenance money come from?

There is a YouTube training video using our exact model. Joe will send the link to the campus in an email after Katie sends it to him.
