2012-2013 AHA CPR-BLS for the Healthcare Provider (HCP) Choose Your Option: In class option: Cabrillo College offers monthly CPR classes on campus. This is a 2 year CPR certification course intended for those that are required to have the Healthcare Provider Course for employment or schooling. The content of the course teaches CPR for adult, child and infant (including ventilation with a barrier device and bag-mask device). Treatment of cardiac arrest with an automated external defibrillator (AED) and care of choking victims of all ages is also covered. Off site option (train in your workplace): Instructors also offer off site certification opportunities for small groups such as medical offices, fitness centers and companies specializing in patient care, transport or security. Online AHA CPR-BLS Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification & Renewal Skills Practice Session and Test by appointment Anyone can take the online BLS-HCP course ($23.00) at www.onlineaha.org followed by a manikin skills test ($40.00) at Cabrillo College. Come prepared to demonstrate skills. 30 minutes of practice time with skill sheets and manikins is provided prior to testing.
