A. Quality of student work, pace and content, appropriateness of teaching methods and action(s) taken to resolve
any problems
No problems noted.
B. Any Learning Resources problems which have affected the provision of the Module (quality of lecture or tutorial
rooms, laboratory or IT facilities and action taken or planned
None.
C. Issues identified by students (from questionnaires, staff-student committees etc.) and action taken or planned
At SSCC, representative raised issue that the Pyrenees essay (15% of exam) was not returned with comments as
coursework. I emailed students to explain that this was part of their examinations rather than ongoing
coursework, along with marking their notebooks and was not marked until during the examination period.
However, I emailed students to let them request the annotated (marked) pdf essays deposited with Susie Rizvi).
In future years, the essay will be abandoned and replaced with students preparing for the Pyrenees field class by
researching then presenting an appropriate topic during the fieldtrip.
D. Issues identified by External Examiners and action taken or planned
None.
E. Chair of Teaching Committee’s Comments and Action Taken or Planned (Where applicable. Where no comment
is required, please see the overall departmental report)
