Repeatability Guidelines
Effective Fall 2013
No course repeats except:
o Necessary to Major Requirements of CSU or UC (like performance
ensembles)
 The CSU/UC guidelines should say “must be enrolled in an
ensemble every semester”
o Intercollegiate Athletics
o Intercollegiate academic or vocational competition (we don’t have
this at Cabrillo)
o Legally Mandated Training (legally mandated training requirements
as a condition of paid or volunteered employment: i.e. CPR)
Local college must identify courses that can be repeated and give rationale
(above are the only rationale)
Active Participatory courses
o “Family”-- for KIN, visual arts or performing arts
o Total of four in the family
 Example of “family” - golf
