Addendum No. 1
This Addendum No. 1 sets forth modifications to portions of the bid and
contract documents for the above-referenced work described as:
B15-02 Building 1100 Roofing Overlay
1) Rake Flashing Detail – Upper Roof Plane, Elevations North and South
At the existing rake lines (upper roof-approximately 160 linear feet total) the
existing composite roofing is to be cut back approximately one inch to plane flush
with the face of the rake fascia. Custom 3.5” x 2” flashing is to be installed in
advance of installation of the new shingles. All new flashing is to be primed and
painted.
 Please reference Section 1400 “Flashing and Sheet Metal” of the project
specifications for flashing specifications.
 Please reference Section 1500 “Painting” of the project specifications for
painting specification.
2) Please clarify the area receiving the built-up bituminous roofing. Please clarify if
the new built-up bituminous roofing is going over existing shingles.
No areas of the roof will receive bituminous roofing.
