Bus Strike
James
Discussed improving carpool board and finding alternative modes of transportation. Some senators expressed
discomfort forming a position without more information. Others questioned whether it is in the interest of the
students to support the transit union. The Senate acknowledged that any side taken would be representative of the
whole student body of cabrillo college. A public forum to inform students about the details of the bus strike was
also proposed.

Special Elections
Jason
Elections are on November 8th. Zach Woodford suggested protest in Sacramento against prop 76. Recommends
adopting resolutions against prop 74 75 76. Registration seems to be coming along well. League of women voters
is working to figure out room to hold forum on all propositions. Kristina needs volunteers for registering voters in
next 4 days. Senator says, Prop 76 directly affects funding for students at Cabrillo College and in interest of
students senate should be against. Senator would like to organize a rally and resolutions regarding special
elections.
