There has been a lot of public input which is great and let’s continue to encourage students to apply to the Senate. Vice President: Laura Hunerberg – I appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked through the Constitution and Bylaws amendments, and appreciate everyone’s involvement. Remember to utilize time in class to mention the Student Senate and invite students to attend meetings. Treasurer: Darwin Constantino – I really enjoyed making the Senate information video. I am also glad that the Senate enjoyed the presentation. Also, as I mentioned last week the Bookstore is under new management and I want the Senate to consider inviting the new managers, so, if you have any questions for them let’s start thinking about them. Legislative Representative: Aimée Cornett – Congratulations to Darwin on a successful Senate informational video, it was emotional and really touching. On another note, Region 4 met this past weekend and plan to meet again on March 9th, HERE AT CABRILLO COLLEGE! Please make an effort to attend the Region 4 meeting and show Cabrillo pride. Sesario Escoto – I loved the Senate informational video that Darwin created. I suggest that the Senate show the video to the Faculty Senate and Student Services Council, if copies could be made that would be great! Also, the work done by the Constitution and Bylaws Committee is commendable and good because it creates accountability. I’m very excited to tell the Senate that we have a new Administrative Assistant, Laura. Laura has related experience from Merced so let’s be mindful of her and welcome her to the SAC East. Flor Chacòn – I also loved the Senate video that Darwin made. The quality and content is a good example of what the Senate is about and I think it should be used for Senate Awareness presentations. Also, please take a look at the blue information handouts, and pass them out to your constituents. Feel free to distribute them around campus so that students can take advantage of Senate and ICC sponsored events. The last comment I have is that the Senate should focus and prepare for Welcome Week, and recruit volunteers for other upcoming events. X. Agenda Building XI.
