Faculty-Led Study Abroad
Faculty-led programs are short-term study tours over breaks, intersessions, or
summer in which you learn and travel with a K-State professor and students.
Cultural activities and excursions are often included.
Exchange Program
Exchange programs allow you to pay in-state tuition and fees while attending one
of our more than eighty partner universities abroad. These programs offer you a
more independent experience and are generally for a semester or academic year.
Summer Program
Summer term is one of the most popular times for K-State students to go abroad,
as you can take coursework or volunteer for a shorter and often less expensive
program. Choose a faculty-led program that may run during May or summer term,
or go on a summer exchange to or directly enroll in a university abroad.
An international experience can be affordable!
Most Agriculture students receive direct
assistance from the College of Agriculture, and
many are eligible for federal financial aid. Some

Federal Financial Aid
Full-time K-State students who are eligible may apply for federal financial aid to help
cover the costs of credit-bearing faculty-led, exchange, summer, and other programs in
our database. For more information, contact the Study Abroad Office in 304 Fairchild
Hall or Office of Student Financial Assistance in 104 Fairchild Hall.
College of Agriculture Scholarships
The College offers many of its own scholarship opportunities, including:

In addition, many students in the College automatically receive some aid when they

Each year, departments within the College of Agriculture sponsor group study tours
to countries around the globe. Agriculture students also participate in other trips
sponsored by other colleges and universities. To learn about currrent programs and

Prague, Czech Republic 

Czech University of Life Sciences
This four-week summer program features classes in agricultural economics, rural
sociology, and Czech language and culture. This program includes many excursions
to Czech farms, including a five-day study tour and a weekend stay with a family.
No prior knowledge of Czech is necessary, as all courses are taught in English.
Agriculture and Food Processing in Southern Africa
An eighteen-day study tour of the fundamentals of agriculture and food processing
in Mozambique and South Africa. Students analyzed the contrasting natures of the Toulouse, France 

International Service Teams
Join an International Service Team (IST) with the K-State School of Leadership
Studies. You can participate in a spring semester course coupled with a service
project involving issues like health, education, the environment, and youth
development during an eight to ten week stay abroad during the summer. Contact

typically in September, for students interested in international experiences.

Study Abroad 101 is a general information session hosted by the Study Abroad
Office on Mondays (3:00-3:30pm), Tuesdays (5:30-6pm), Wednesdays (5:30-6pm),
Thursdays (11:30am-noon), and Fridays (1:30-2pm). Stop by to find out about
