“I absolutely love my programs. It was a little crazy transitioning into
the giant world of UC Berkeley and keeping up but once I made it
through my first semester, it was fine. That would be my big advice to
new incoming transfers - Don't give up! It’s hard but you'd be surprised
how well you actually do. Take the first semester in stride and it'll be
easier next time around. Also, there is a 1 unit 'incoming transfer' class.
I think it's listed as EDUC 198 Directed Group Study. It helped me a lot
in my first semester. I am graduating with honors in spring. Cabrillo
means the world to me. Thank you for all the love and care that I got
there. It wouldn't have been possible without you guys.”
When asked if she had any immediate plans for the future, after
graduation, Nima replied, “I am planning to go UCSC to get an MA in Ed
and teaching credential to teach in K-8. I may do
something else but that is my tentative plan.”
