Tardio is a Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) and an alumnus of the University of the East (UE). He finished his Master’s Degree in Information Management (MIM) also at UE with his Independent Study (thesis) entitled “IPv6: Handbook of Requirements, Migration Strategies and Action Plans for Philippine Government Agencies. He is also completed the Graduate Certificate Course on Corruption Prevention (GCCCP) at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). Engr. Tardio has more than ten years of professional work experience in the field of public telecommunications’ planning and implementation under the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC)’s National Telephone Program where he is currently designated as Project Manager. He is currently the Officer-In-Charge of the National ICT Planning Division of the National ICT Governance Service of ICTO and current member of various Technical Working Groups (TWG) and Committees such as the Philippines migration to Digital TV (DTTB) and IPV6, Philippine Digital Strategy (PDS) and Philippine Development Plan (PDP), among others. Engr. Tardio is also designated as the Deputy Program Manager of ICTO's TVWS Technologies Study Program. He is also one of the focal person for the ASEAN TELSOM for the Philippines and has attended/participated various meetings and workshops within ASEAN member States and Dialogue Partners. Completed various international ICT trainings such as the Standardization Needed for the Deployment of Telecommunications Infrastructure, and Next Generation Network (NGN) and Services/Solutions Realized on NGN and their Standardization, Engr. Tardio is specialized in ICT Network/Broadband Planning, ICT/Telecommunications Project Management/Implementation, among others. Awarded as one of the Most Outstanding Electronics and Communications Engineer in 2010, Engr. Tardio is very active member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP). He is the current and founder President of the Philippine Association of Government ECEs (PAGE).
