3P Gatsby Annotation Extension Project Worksheet (2012)

Project description: Each group will be presenting information on an assigned character to the class based on the information complied in your annotations and the worksheet below.

PART I: Worksheet

Directions: After reading and annotating The Great Gatsby , complete the following activity in your assigned group. Follow these steps:

 First, write your assigned character’s name in the first box

Next, circulate and compare your character annotations with the other group members’ annotations. Pay attention to the similarities and differences in the annotations you read. This will provide a base for the group discussion.

 Based on your findings, discuss and agree upon your character’s color association and any other symbols that may give insight into your character

Finally, discuss and agree upon two significant quotes to represent each category of annotation

(insight, AP, and theme).
