North Norfolk District Council’s countryside rangers regularly hold Muddy Boots Volunteer conservation days to carry out practical outdoor work to help improve habitats for wildlife. They’re held at Holt Country
Park, Pretty Corner Woods and Sadler’s Wood.
Have a go learning new outdoor skills, tree planting, opening rides, gapping up hedges, wildlife studies, making wildlife homes and lots more.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us during the day.
We run special muddy boots events during the school holidays for children and their families – which includes a Muddy Boots Award programme – and can offer work experience placements for students.
Entry is free . Please collect a parking pass for Holt Country Park from its visitor centre. Sessions are usually two hours but please feel free to join in the fun anytime. Equipment (like gloves) is provided, but bring your own wellies!
Refreshments are available.
For muddy boots dates and times and meeting points please visit our website or call Annie Katnoria, NNDC countryside ranger on 07920 576634, email: anne-marie.katnoria@north-norfolk.gov.uk
