Session 1: Global Trends in the Development of ICT Sector: Women’s Involvement in the ICT

Within the framework of Session 1, global trends in the ICT development will be considered in the
context of involvement of women in the ICT, in particular,how female and male staff percentage
ratio in the ICT enterprises has changed; whether the number of female staff has increased or
reduced, including the number of females in management positions.

Session 2 will consider gender aspect of main trends in the ICT development in the CIS over recent 5
years, including the issues of implementation in some countries of policy aimed at attraction more
women in ICT sector and its influence on gender percentage ratio in the ICT enterprises.

Session 3 will be dedicated to professional fulfillment of girls who obtained diplomas in ICT in the
CIS countries. Representatives of ICT universities will present data relating to gender percentage
ratio at different stages of education process and, if possible, to further professional fulfillment of
graduates of ICT universities.
