My name is Okello Alex from Northern Uganda, Lira District, Barr Sub-county, Ayira parish, Ololango A Village “A” I am now 30 years old and got involved in War Child Holland projects about 8 years ago when War Child Holland established an ICT Resource Centre in Barr IDP camp. The youth that got involved in the ICT Resource Centre has developed over the years into a CBO and business. I myself work for Barr ICT Youth Network Association as program coordinator. I have been trained in using the computer when we opened the resource centre and now I am a trainer myself. I love to work with my community, most especialy with children & youth. The last time, when I was in Kampala for a E-learning Africa program, there was a lady from DRC Congo who asked me things. I hope that some day, I will be asked to go somewhere else. Not because of my papers, but because of the ideas that I have. It’s all about the attitude of someone. We have a slogan: when somebody gives you something, it does not belong to the giver anymore. It means that thing is yours. The way you handle it, you use it, it’s upon you. Google: alex okello+ ICT africa Ernst Suur ernst.suur@warchild.nl
