Government Defeat in Lords
on National Lottery Bill

On 24/04/2006 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an
amendment to the National Lottery Bill: To remove the power of the Secretary of
State to "prescribe" how the whole of the 50% of lottery distribution (going to the
Big Lottery Fund) should be spent.
This was defeat number 32 in the parliamentary session.
