On 23/04/2008 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an
amendment to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill: To insert a clause amending
provisions in the Data Protection Act to add sanctions for the reckless, intentional or
repeatedly negligent disclosure of information contained in personal data to another
person.
