Government Defeat in Lords
on Welfare Reform Bill

On 22/10/2009 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to
the Welfare Reform Bill: To exempt single parents of children under five from financial
sanctions under the back-to-work path through work-related activity plans.
This was defeat number 22 in the parliamentary session.
