On 05/05/2009 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an
amendment to the Marine and Coastal Access Bill [HL]: To require a marine plan
authority to seek to ensure that a marine plan or plans are prepared for the whole
of its marine planning region where a marine policy statement governs marine
planning for the region.
This was defeat number 8 in the parliamentary session.
