Government Defeat in Lords
on Housing and Planning Bill
Wednesday 13/04/2016
On 13/04/2016 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment
to the Housing and Planning Bill: To require that determinations by the Secretary of
State provided in the bill regarding payments made by local housing authorities in
England should be made by regulation, and consequently subject to approval by
parliament.
This was defeat number 41 in the parliamentary session.
