on Housing and Planning Bill

On 18/04/2016 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment
to the Housing and Planning Bill: To introduce a limit to the rate by which rent for high
income local authority tenants can be increased, specifying that the rent shall not
equate to more than 10 pence for each pound of a tenant’s income above the
minimum income threshold.
This was defeat number 43 in the parliamentary session.
